The location of the Emu Walk appartments is fantastic. Right in the middle of the Ayer’s rock resort. Short walk to IGA, cafes, gift shops. Short walk to the pick up spot for tours. I was surprised that the prices at IGA on most items was reasonable. The kitchen was well equiped with cooking utensils. Washing machine and dryer worked well with powder supplied. There is tea, coffee, small amount of milk and salt/pepper sachets. Other pantry items you will have to supply. Plenty of good quality towels supplied and the sheets were good quality. TV reception was very good. The apartments are very soundproof. We did not hear any outside noise while in the apartment.

The resort had everything you needed. Emu walk is one set of apartments at Ayers Rock Resort and it is intended that you use the facilities of all sets of apartments. There is even an IGA selling cooked chickens for a cheaper meal option. Takeaway alcohol is available from the Outback Pioneer pub but starts at $38 for a bottle of wine so bring some along if you wish to spend less. I booked 2 x one bedroom apartments for 4 of us as Booking.com says the maximum capacity is 3. This is incorrect as they said 4 is allowed in one apartment (1 king bed and 2 sofa beds). We spent $1900 more than we needed to due to this error. However it was nice to be spaced out.

We really enjoyed our stay at the apartment. It was comfortable, spacious and well placed in the resort to access the gallery, supermarket, cafe, restaurants and pools. We definitely recommend having a car to visit the area and also cycling around the base of Uluru. The Valley of the winds walk at Kata Tjuta is also wonderful. The resort is a bit more expensive than in other places around Australia, but given the distances and expense of transporting everything in and the multiple options of free talks and walks, we felt the cost of the trip was money well spent.

We booked a one bedroom apartment. Very immaculate! Modern, spacious and super tidy. We liked how the kitchen was huge and well equipped with all the basic amenities, if you’re looking to make your own meals. Town square, IGA and a few restaurants and a coffee shop is just a couple of minutes walk away from the rooms. The resort shuttle comes every 20 minutes to take you to the nearby hotels/resorts or your activity site. Our room and bathroom was huge, which made our 5 day stay pretty comfortable!

Reception staff were very helpful and immediately addressed a concern we had. We also experienced staff as being well-informed. The apartment kitchen is well-equipped - a plus since dining options in the area are a bit limited. We loved the art gallery that is adjacent to the apartments and it’s so great that the apartments are close to where free cultural presentations take place!
